Your
VO2 max will be tested, by a cycling coach and exercise
physiologist, while you ride your own bike on a
computrainer. ( or run on a treadmill if you wish) After
a short warm up, the wattage will be increased every minute until
you can no longer continue. Oxygen and carbon dioxide will be
measured as you ride. You will be given your VO2 max, max
wattage, max heart rate, and your heart rate at each individual
wattage. You will also be given your wattage, and heart
rate at anaerobic threshold. I can also forward
this information to your coach if you have one, or give you a few
training pointers based on the results.

Same
as the cardiometabolic test, only without the oxygen and CO2
sensors. VO2 max and anaerobic threshold are calculated based on
heart rate and wattage rather than measured directly. You
still receive VO2 max, max wattage, max heart rate, wattage and
heart rate at anaerobic threshold, and heart rate at each wattage.
This test is quite accurate, and only half the cost of the
cardiometabolic test Again, I can also forward this
information to your coach if you have one, or give you a few
training pointers based on the results.

This
is a test of sprinting ability and takes only 25-40 seconds for most
riders to complete. Your max wattage and average wattage for
the workload can give insight to where your sprinting
strengths and weaknesses lie, as well as how to improve them.
